KU women’s golf leads Smith meet

? Kansas University’s women’s golf team took a quick 13-stroke lead after the first two rounds of the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational on Monday at Colbert Hills Golf Course.

With four Jayhawks in the top 10 individually, KU shot a two-round team score of 602 to lead runner-up Kansas State (615).

KU’s Yupaporn Kawainpakorn is tied with K-State’s Gianna Misenhelter with a 2-over 146. Kansas’ Meghan Potee is alone in third at 150, Thanuttra Boonraksasat is tied for fourth at 152, and Minami Levonowich is tied for 10th at 154.

The tournament will conclude with 18 holes today.
