Topeka ? Lawrence High’s boys placed second and the LHS girls took fourth Saturday in the Shawnee Heights cross country invitational.

Sam Stephens finished seventh to lead the LHS boys, followed by Keegan Matheis eighth, Alex Mwithiga ninth, Tim Schraad 10th and Andy Freeman 12th.

Leah Gabler finished second to lead the LHS girls, followed by Riley Shook eighth, Mallory McFall 16th and Caitlin Lewis 19th.

Washburn Rural won the boys meet with 15 points, followed by Lawrence with 46, Shawnee Heights (87), Topeka High (100) and Leavenworth (132).

Washburn Rural’s girls also won, with 38 points, followed by Topeka High with 69, Leavenworth with 73, Lawrence with 75 and Shawnee Heights with 95.
