Spots are still open at the Douglas County Dental Clinic's Free Dental Day today, thanks to a smaller-than-anticipated crowd.
The annual dental day provides free services to uninsured Douglas County residents living at or below 200 percent of federal poverty level.
Clinic Executive Director Julie Branstrom said she believes last night's rain may have kept people away. She also reminds the public that the dental clinic has moved to a new location since last year's Free Dental Day. It is now at 2210 Yale Road.
Fifteen dentists and an oral surgeon are offering their services at no cost to patients who cannot afford to pay. Screening will continue until 4 p.m. but Branstrom advises patients to get there by early afternoon so there is time for treatment.
