Topeka ? Lawrence High’s volleyball team went 2-1 on Tuesday in a quadrangular at Topeka High.

The Lions defeated Rossville, 25-12, 25-15, and Topeka High, 26-24, 25-12, and fell to Washburn Rural, 25-22, 25-15.

The LHS leaders included Kyleigh Severa with 26 assists, Marlee Bird with 21 assists, Jess Lemus with 26 digs, Marly Carmona with 15 digs, Caroline Dykes with 17 kills and Sami Buffalomeat with 16 kills.

“We got a couple of good wins under our belt,” LHS coach Stephanie Magnuson said, “and we’re looking forward to getting league started on Thursday.”

The Lions raised their record to 3-6. Next action for LHS is Thursday at an Olathe South quadrangular.
