The National Weather Service in Topeka issued a freeze warning for tonight. Douglas County and surrounding areas will experience freezing conditions from midnight to 9 a.m. Friday.

As cold air moves through Eastern Kansas through the day, temperatures are expected to fall quickly during the evening, ranging from 27 to 33 degrees. NWS also cautions that the cold may damage or kill unprotected plants.
