Lawrence Arts Center hosts Halloween Children’s Ballet and Costume Ball

The Lawrence Arts Center is hosting a Halloween Children’s Ballet and Costume Ball for young children on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Performed by the Lawrence Ballet Theatre, the ballet is a story of two friends, Shelly Skelly (a young skeleton) and Jack O. Lantern, who go trick-or-treating on Halloween night and meet new friends behind each door. The dancers will perform multiple short dances to tell the story, and a narrator will be present to make the story easy to follow.

Make sure to come in costume. Following the performance the Lawrence Ballet Theatre will lead the crowd in a parade to show off the costumes worn to the show.

This is a family friendly show geared toward a preschool and elementary school audience. The shows are at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. in the Black Box theater of the lower lobby of the Lawrence Arts Center.

No tickets necessary, but donations are encouraged.
