Bill Self’s Assists Foundation holds sporting goods drive
Bill Self’s Assists Foundation is holding a fall festival and sporting goods drive on Sunday.
Attendees are asked to donate gently used sporting goods or equipment to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence. The event will be at Abe and Jake’s Landing, 8 E. Sixth St., from 2 to 4 p.m.
Bill Self and Kansas University men’s basketball players will be at the event participating alongside attendees in games such as pop-a-shot basketball, fast pitch baseball and Dance Dance Revolution. There will also be a prize wheel and a vintage-style photo booth.
Every family that donates to the drive will be entered into a drawing to win four tickets to the KU men’s basketball game against Iona College on Nov. 19.
