KU Medical Center preparing for a second round of interviews in search for new medical school dean

The search for a new dean of the Kansas University School of Medicine has entered the next phase. Douglas Girod, the executive vice chancellor of the KU Medical Center and interim dean of the medical school, announced that the search committee has begun inviting finalists back to campus for another round of interviews.

No names have been disclosed yet, but Girod said finalists will be announced shortly before their arrivals to campus for the interviews. The first candidate to return will make a presentation to the school at 4 p.m. on Oct. 16 at the Kansas City campus of the medical center.
