Overland Park ? Free State High’s Emily Bermel and Katherin Campbell placed first among varsity four-ball teams at the Carol Gillard High School Golf Invitational on Wednesday at the Overland Park Golf Course.

Free State placed sixth overall in the varsity team standings, which combined scores for four ball, alternate shot and scramble. Free State’s combined score was 127.

Lawrence High was 12th in the varsity combined standings with 137.
