FSHS golf team wins scramble

? Free State High’s Emily Bermel and Katherin Campbell placed first among varsity four-ball teams at the Carol Gillard High School Golf Invitational on Wednesday at the Overland Park Golf Course.

Free State placed sixth overall in the varsity team standings, which combined scores for four ball, alternate shot and scramble. Free State’s combined score was 127.

Lawrence High was 12th in the varsity combined standings with 137.

Varsity team (combined): OP Aquinas 115, Olathe East 118, SM East 121, Blue Valley 124, Blue Valley North 125, Free State 127, Washburn Rural 128, Olathe South 129, Blue Valley NW 130, St. James Academy 130, Blue Valley West 132, Lawrence 137, Bishop Miege 145, Gardner-Edgerton 147.
