Veritas Christian went 2-0 in a girls volleyball triangular Tuesday at Central Middle School.
Veritas defeated Wichita Sunrise Academy, 27-25, 25-18, and Manhattan CHIEF, 25-10, 25-18.
Veritas’ Teri Huslig had four aces, 30 kills, 14 assists and four blocks, Lacey Billings had eight aces, five kills, 19 assists and three blocks, and Allie Swisher two aces, two kills and 14 digs.
“They did a great job,” Veritas coach Kyle Billings said. “Things finally seem to be coming together for some of our younger players. They’re playing as a team.”
Veritas (18-5) will play Derby and Cair Paravel on Thursday in Eudora.
