KU to hold public forums on master plan for Lawrence and Edwards campuses

Kansas University will hold a final round of public forums on Thursday to discuss the new master plan for the development of its Lawrence and Edwards campuses. Presentations from KU will look at facilities and projects, land use, research, student life, sustainability and resource management, and transportation and access.

The university has created only four such comprehensive plans since 1907. The most recent was completed in 1997. To help develop the new master plan, KU has hired Virginia-based architecture and planning company Hanbury Evans Wright Vlattas + Company.

The university will host one forum to discuss the plan at 11 a.m. Thursday and another at 4 p.m. Both will be on the fourth floor of the Kansas Union.
