An 18-year-old Yuma, Ariz., man is awaiting his first appearance in juvenile court in Douglas County while facing six counts of rape, multiple sodomy and battery counts and one count of kidnapping in connection with alleged incidents involving three teenagers from September 2011 to August of this year.

Each count involves offenses that the Douglas County District Attorney's Office alleges to have occurred before the man's 18th birthday, which was earlier this year.

The man was arrested on Nov. 4 in Yuma and was booked Saturday into the Douglas County Jail, where he is being held on a $150,000 bond.

He faces 12 charges for alleged offenses that took place in Douglas County, including six separate counts of rape. The earliest rape charge stems from September 2011, when both the man and the alleged victim were 16 years old. The man is also being charged with kidnapping, a felony, and one count of battery. Each of those three counts is alleged to have occurred on the same day.

The man also faces four counts of rape stemming from alleged incidents involving a 13-year-old from May 30 to Aug. 30. The man faces two additional charges of battery from that period. He also faces two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy, a felony, related to the first 13-year-old referenced in the district attorney's complaint, in addition to a second alleged 13-year-old victim. The second 13-year-old was also referenced in a sixth and final count of rape that the man faces.

Two guardians of the man, each with a separate Lawrence address, were summoned to appear in Douglas County District Court on Dec. 11, at which time a trial date will be set.
