KU’s Bioscience and Technology Business Center hires a new president

Kansas University’s Bioscience and Technology Business Center has hired a new president and chief operating officer, the university announced today.

G.R. Underwood joined the center after working as CEO for a company spun out of the University of Texas that specialized in software for the oil and gas industry. From 2007 to 2010 Underwood was vice president of client services for the Lawrence Regional Technology Center at 2029 Becker Drive. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma.

Based on KU’s West Campus, the Bioscience and Technology Business Center provides offices, lab space and professional services for startups and small companies in the area.
