JaCorey Shepherd returned a kickoff 69 yards and averaged 33.8 yards on five kick returns. He also wasn’t the main culprit in a secondary that had a rough day.

Gassers

Cornerback Dexter McDonald, one of the team’s better players this season, was flagged for pass interference on consecutive fourth-quarter plays. In contrast to most weeks, Oklahoma State did not avoid throwing in his direction and picked on him repeatedly with success.
