— The Oklahoma baseball team scored three first-inning runs and never trailed after that, defeating Kansas, 7-2, in the Big 12 championship game on Sunday afternoon at Bricktown Ballpark

Sixth-seeded KU (34-25) had won three straight games in pool play to advance to the title game. With the victory, OU (40-19) receives the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.

Starter Frank Duncan took the loss for the Jayhawks, allowing five runs (four earned) in three innings.

Connor McKay led KU's offense with a pair of hits.

The Jayhawks are not expected to receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
