Cable service to parts of West Lawrence was out for several hours on Thursday, reportedly after a cable was cut somewhere in the area. A spokeswoman for Wow!, which recently took over Knology, confirmed there was an outage in Lawrence but had no specific information about it.

After a brief report on the outage was sent out via Twitter, one Twitter user reported that cable service had been out since 4 p.m. Thursday at his house in the area of Havard Road and Wakarusa Drive. Service had not been restored by 10 p.m.
