Long Drive: The Time Warner Cable Long Drive Championship will be held at 9 a.m. on May 11 at Eagle Bend driving range. It’s $300 to enter and the field is full at 24 players. After the event there will be a local competition from 1 to 4 p.m. Cost is $40 per entry. No need to pre-register, just show up. A Long Drive Pro-Am will be held at 4:30 p.m. May 10 at Eagle Bend. Entry includes: nine holes with cart, a long-drive T-shirt, hit on Flightscope ball launch monitor, long drive/closest to the hole contests. Unique format: 4 Man Scramble. Cost is $50 per person/$200 per group.

LHS tennis camps: Lawrence High tennis camps will be open to all LHS tennis players attending LHS for the 2013-14 school year. The camps will be 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 4-July 18. There also will be a future LHS tennis camp for boys and girls in grades 6-8. The future camp will meet from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on the same dates. Players will work on tennis skills, strategies and group play. Cost for the 13 sessions is $65, or $5 a day.
