KU baseball falls in extras at OU

? Oklahoma’s Matt Oberste brought home a runner with a 10th-inning sacrifice fly, giving the Sooners a 2-1 victory over Kansas University on Friday.

Eleventh-ranked Oklahoma (25-4 overall, 5-0 Big 12) handed KU reliever Jordan Piche’ his first loss of the season after OU loaded the bases in the extra inning.

Kansas (14-10, 2-3) was shut down by Oklahoma reliever Jacob Evans in the final 32/3 innings. Evans retired 11 straight KU batters after catcher Ka’iana Eldredge scored on an error in the seventh inning.

The Jayhawks finish out the series today at 2 p.m.
