The weekend snow is still impacting early-week spring sports events in town.

A Tuesday track meet between the city’s two rivals has been postponed due to snow accumulation.

Free State High will now compete against Lawrence Thursday at 3 p.m. at LHS.

The Lawrence girls soccer season opener Tuesday against Baldwin has been postponed, too, but no official make-up date has been set.

LHS boy tennis had its trip to Emporia, scheduled for Tuesday, postponed to April 1.

In other sports cancellations, Lawrence High’s Monday junior varsity golf event has been canceled with no reschedule date set at this point. The same is true for Monday junior varsity and C-team baseball games between Free State and Lawrence.

Also, a Tuesday track meet for South Middle School at West has been called off.
