Topeka ? Leah Gabler won two individual events for Lawrence High’s track team Thursday at the season-opening Topeka West Midwinter Classic.

Gabler won the 400 and long jump and also was part of the first-place 4×400 relay team with Jensen Edwards, Kyleigh Severa and Monica Howard.

Edwards won the 200, Caitlin Broadwell won the triple jump and Howard won the javelin.

Winning for the LHS boys were Eric Parrish in the triple jump and the 4×100 relay team of Nick Benton, J’Mony Bryant, J.D. Woods and Lavontae Shorter.
