Kansas baseball sweeps Eastern Michigan

? Jordan Dreiling’s big plays on the basepaths and a big day behind the plate helped Kansas University baseball sweep a doubleheader against Eastern Michigan on Saturday at QuikTrip Park.

Dreiling, a senior infielder, stole third base before scoring the winning run off an errant throw in the bottom of 10th inning, giving KU a 5-4 victory in the first game of the day. In the late game, Dreiling tacked on three runs in a 4-for-5 performance (two doubles) from the plate as the Jayhawks routed Eastern Michigan, 8-0.

Senior pitcher Thomas Taylor (1-0) backed up the KU offense in Game 2 with eight strikeouts and just three hits in his first complete-game shutout. Junior pitcher Jordan Piche’ (2-0) picked up the win in Game 1.
