It’s time again for Only in Lawrence, the Lawrence Journal-World’s salute to the unsung heroes who make life in Lawrence so special.

In 2011 and 2012 we featured dozens of people and groups that make Lawrence Lawrence — from longtime coaches and volunteers to the committee that puts on the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Now it’s time for you to help us with the 2013 Only in Lawrence honorees. Who do you know whose efforts make our community brighter? Whose name is never in the newspaper but whose actions make some important aspect of our community run smoothly? Who do you know who’s special to a small segment of Lawrence and deserves to have his contributions heralded to a wider audience?

Send me your suggestions, along with a few sentences explaining what makes the person you recommend special, how to reach that person by phone or email, and how to reach you by phone and email.
