KU women’s golfers get academic honor

Kansas University women’s golfers Gabby DiMarco and Meghan Potee were named All-American Scholars for 2012-13 by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) on Monday.

A total of 644 women’s collegiate golfers from Divisions I, II and III were recognized for the honor. Candidates must have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50.

This is the second year in a row both DiMarco and Potee received the honor. Potee, from Noblesville, Ind., will be a senior in 2013-14 and is majoring in community health, while junior-to-be DiMarco, from West Chester, Pa., is majoring in business finance.
