• Peggy Johnson, a financial adviser with Ameriprise Financial, has qualified for the company’s 2012 Circle of Success annual recognition program.

• Brady Pollington will begin work Monday as the new economic development project manager for the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce. He currently is the business recruitment coordinator at the Dodge City/Ford County Development Corp. in Dodge City. From 2009 to 2011, he served as the executive assistant to the chief of staff for the mayor of Kansas City, Mo. He is a Kansas University graduate and received a Master of Business Administration degree from Baker University.

• Lawrence acupuncturist Gina Halsey recently completed the course “Herbs and Other Dietary Supplements in Cancer Care” presented by Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. The course is a companion to her previously completed “Acupuncture for the Cancer Patient,” a 21-lecture and demonstration webcourse for licensed or certified acupuncturists to prepare them for work in oncology. Halsey also completed “Internal Medicine: Herbal Alternatives to Drugs, Part II,”presented live by Lotus Institute of Integrative Medicine in Industry, Calif.

Halsey is national-board certified in Oriental medicine. In addition to treating various conditions with acupuncture, she can support cancer patients by helping alleviate side effects of treatment. She practices at Gina Halsey Acupuncture located in the Lawrence Medical Plaza, at 1112 W. Sixth St., Suite 208.

• Terri Pippert, of Lawrence, is being honored for 35 years of service at U.S. Bank. Pippert works as a business banking officer for U.S. Bank at 900 Massachusetts St. in Lawrence, and at 719 S. Kansas Ave. in Topeka.

“During Terri’s 35-year career with U.S. Bank, she has been involved in many roles and has always exhibited the highest level of advocacy for her clients and her community,” said Mike Orozco, regional president for U.S. Bank in Kansas, northwest Missouri and southwest Iowa. “We are lucky that Terri chose U.S. Bank as the place she wanted to spend her banking career.”

Pippert attended Wichita State University and Kansas University. She also is active in the community and currently serves on the advisory board for Housing and Credit Counseling. She resides in Lawrence with her husband and two sons.
