Ottawa University names new dean for School of Education

Ottawa University has named a new leader for its School of Education.

Amy Browne Hogan will take over as the school’s new dean, the university announced last week. She had been serving as interim dean of the school since the departure of former dean David Barnes.

At different points in her career, Hogan has worked as a K-12 teacher, a college professor and an administrator. She also worked as a teacher-trainer for the Shawnee Mission school district and helped the state of Kansas collect and analyze data on teacher performance. She earned her doctorate from Capella University in Minnesota.
