KU Med Center administrator is final candidate for top job at Edwards Campus

David Cook will become vice chancellor for the Kansas University Edwards Campus on April 15.

The final candidate announced for the top position at Kansas University’s Edwards Campus is a professor and administrator at the KU Medical Center.

David Cook is the third finalist to be vice chancellor of the Edwards Campus in Overland Park, KU announced Monday morning. Cook is an associate professor in the School of Medicine, and he is associate vice chancellor for community engagement at the Medical Center. He’s also a former executive director of the Midwest Cancer Alliance.

Cook will visit the Lawrence and Edwards campuses later this week. He’ll have a public presentation and question-and-answer session at 10 a.m. Wednesday in room 120 of the BEST Building at the Edwards campus. The appearance will be streamed live on the website for the KU provost’s office, provost.ku.edu.

The first two candidates announced for the job, Keith Pickus of Wichita State University and Barbara Bichelmeyer of Indiana University, visited last week.
