Tonganoxie — Holton extended its lead to as many as 20 points in the second half of the third-place game at the Tonganoxie Invitational. Holton went 9-of-16 from beyond the three-point arc.

Eric Tate scored 14 points and Jack Dale 12 for Tonganoxie (6-5).

De Soto 61, Atchison 49

Tonganoxie — De Soto limited Atchison’s offensive output to three players, and Issa Lueth (15), Quinton Verhulst (14) and Braiden Turner (12) scored in double figures.

Jefferson County North 50, McLouth 29

McLouth — Jefferson County North limited McLouth to seven first-half points, one in the second quarter, in the McLouth tournament third-place game.

Oskaloosa 58, Heritage Christian 47

McLouth — Oskaloosa won the fifth-place game at the McLouth tournament.

Mill Valley 80, Coffeyville 49

Coffeyville — Mill Valley won the championship of the Coffeyville Interstate Classic.

Nathan Stacy scored 23 points to lead Mill Valley. Wyatt Vorhees scored 14 points, and Kyle Kain and Drew Boatwright each scored 11.

Mill Valley (9-2) will play Friday at Olathe Northwest.

Baldwin 40, Bonner Springs 37

Baldwin City — Baldwin shut out Bonner Springs in overtime to claim the Baldwin Invitational Tournament title Saturday by three points.

Baldwin’s Chad Berg made a three-pointer from the top of the key with 59 seconds left in regulation, knotting the game at 37-37.

Michael Burton made the only field goal of overtime with 1:20 to play in the extra period, putting Baldwin (9-3) up 39-37. Brock Randels hit one of two free throws with 6 seconds to play.

Girls

Silver Lake 53, Tonganoxie 47

Tonganoxie — Tonganoxie led by four points at halftime but lost by six in the in the third-place game at the Tonganoxie Invitational.

The Chieftains (8-3) jumped out to a 13-2 lead in the first quarter, but the Eagles (9-2) clawed back behind Ashlyn Lane’s game-high 21 points.

Katelyn Waldeier paced Tonganoxie with 14 points, while Jenny Whitledge scored 11 and pulled down 11 rebounds.

Chanute 39, De Soto 32

Tonganoxie — Chanute limited De Soto to 12 second-half points on its way to the Tonganoxie tournament championship.
