City commissioners give City Manager Corliss good marks in annual review but will finish process in late March

City Manager David Corliss received good marks from Lawrence city commissioners during his annual performance review on Monday.

But Mayor Bob Schumm said the city hasn’t yet come to any conclusions about a possible increase in pay for Corliss, who serves as the top executive in City Hall.

Schumm said the commissioners will continue the performance review, which takes place in a closed door executive session, on March 26.

“We found tremendous success with the operation of City Hall,” Schumm said. “There was enthusiastic support for the city manager.”

Corliss, who was named city manager in 2006 but has been an employee of the city since 1990, currently has an annual salary of $130,000 per year.
