Though the Lawrence school district decided to cancel Friday classes, tonight’s City Showdown basketball games will be played.

Free State High athletic director Mike Hill said Friday morning FSHS will play host to Lawrence as originally scheduled.

The Lions’ varsity girls will take on the Firebirds at 5:30 p.m., and the varsity boys game will follow at approximately 7.
