Kansas softball flogs Bryant, 10-2

Fourth-year junior Alex Jones tied her career high with eight strikeouts, and Mariah Montgomery drove in two runs as Kansas University softball concluded the Tiger Invitational with a 10-2, five-inning rout of Bryant on Sunday.

Kansas (7-2) went 3-1 at the tournament. Bryant fell to 1-3.

Jones improved to 2-0.

Montgomery went 2-for-2 with two RBIs, a double and a run scored. She led the Jayhawks at the tournament with a .600 batting average, while Maggie Hull had five RBIs at the tourney.

Kansas will face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 3 p.m. Thursday in Corpus Christi, Texas.
