The Lawrence Model Railroad Club will put on its annual model railroad show and swap meet on Saturday. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Building 21 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, 2120 Harper St.

The annual event, in its 12th year, will include displays from the Lawrence, Topeka and Missouri model train clubs. There will also be a model train contest where visitors are allowed to vote for their favorite model train display. Vendors will be on hand.

Admission is $6 for adults and free to those 12 and under. Admission is $5 with a canned food donation. The canned goods will be donated to the Lawrence Interdenominational Nutrition Kitchen.
