LHS bowling wins seventh straight

? Lawrence High’s girls bowling team stretched its winning streak to seven Thursday with a victory in the Shawnee Mission East triangular.

Kierstan Warren rolled games of 212, 159 and 231 for a 602 series to lead the Lions, who have won all seven of their matches this season.

Rebecca McNemee was next with games of 203, 212 and 172 for a 587 series, and Mirand Krom added a 535 series.

The Lions placed second in the boys competition behind Olathe Northwest. Austin Bennett led LHS with games of 183, 205 and 256 for a 644 series, Dustin Hauptman had games of 213 and 200 in a 559 series, and Tre Sexton bowled a 201 during a 552 series.

The LHS girls totaled 2,235 pins, followed by Olathe Northwest with 2,043 and SM East with 1,548.

The LHS boys totaled 2,339 pins. Olathe Northwest won with 2,528, and SM East was third with 2,256.
