Veritas boys lose to St. Mary’s, 68-55

December 21, 2013

— The Veritas Christian boy’s basketball team fell, 68-55, Friday at St. Mary’s Academy.

Junior Micah Edmondson led the way for the Eagles with 19 points. The sophomore tandem of Chad Stieben and Mark Weinhold pitched in 18 and 13 points, respectively.

Veritas head coach Blake Mudd was pleased with how his team competed throughout the game despite a slow start, but he wants the Eagles to focus on being more aggressive on the boards after they return from winter break.

“We got out-rebounded, and that was the difference in the game,” Mudd said.

The Eagles (4-4) will return to action against Center Place High School on Jan. 7 in Independence, Mo.
