Independence, Mo. ? The Veritas Christian boys basketball team improved to 4-3 with a 49-23 victory Tuesday against Tri-City Christian.

Sophomore Chad Stieben led the Eagles with 18 points. The Eagles trailed, 12-10, after the first quarter, but held Tri-City Christian to 10 points the rest of the way.

Veritas will return to action Friday at St. Mary’s Academy.
