KU to host NCAA cross country, track regionals in 2015-16

The Kansas University cross country and track teams will host NCAA regionals in the 2015-16 school year, the NCAA announced Wednesday.

KU will host the NCAA Midwest Cross Country Regional on Nov. 13, 2015 at Rim Rock Farm.

Later that year, Kansas’ new track and field facility, Rock Chalk Park, will hold the 2016 NCAA West Preliminary meet on May 26-28, 2016.

“We’re very excited for the opportunity to be hosting these marquee events at our home facilities,” KU track and field and cross country coach Stanley Redwine said. “Rock Chalk Park is going to be an outstanding facility for this event and many more like it. Being able to bring a high-caliber meet like this to Lawrence and to our home fans is going to be special.”
