Heartland fundraiser set for Thursday

Heartland Community Health Center is holding its third annual Fill Up Pour Out benefit from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday at Arterra Event Gallery, 2161 Quail Creek Drive.

The fundraiser will feature an introduction to new medical director Dan Purdom, one patient’s story and a look back at 2013 and ahead to changes planned for 2014.

The event will include hors d’oeurves from 715 and Merchants Pub & Plate and wine and beer from 23rd Street Brewery and Parkway Wine & Spirits. Other sponsors include Lawrence SignUp and Gracenote Photography. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Heartland, the agency said.

Heartland Community Health Center is a safety-net clinic at 1 Riverfront Plaza, Suite 100, that provides services to patients regardless of income.
