Lawrence man found uninjured after Sunday morning search

A Lawrence man was missing for more than 10 hours before being reunited with his family Sunday afternoon, according to the Lawrence Police Department.

Officers searched for 81-year-old Jacob Bohanon Sunday morning and into the afternoon after a report came in that he had not been seen since midnight on Dec. 1. The LPD issued a silver alert, which is used to broadcast information about missing persons, especially seniors with Alzheimer’s Disease, dementia or other mental disabilities.

According to a statement from Sgt. Trent McKinley, public affairs officer for the LPD, Bohanon was found uninjured Sunday.
