One man has been sentenced to prison and another to probation in connection with a January convenience store robbery in Franklin County.
Dalton Dunnigan, 22, of Mound City, and William Pope, 31, of Garnett, were sentenced Monday in Franklin County District Court. Prosecutors had accused the men of robbing at gunpoint a convenience store in Princeton, about six miles south of Ottawa. An employee reported that robbers had taken $1,200.
Pope, who was found guilty of robbery on July 15, was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Dunnigan, who was found guilty of theft on July 24, was sentenced to 12 months of probation with a 12-month jail sentence suspended by Franklin County District Judge Thomas Sachse.
