Missouri man killed in motorcycle crash on U.S. 59

A Missouri man has died from his injuries after a motorcycle crash on U.S. Highway 59 Monday night.

Randall Lusk, 61, of El Dorado Springs, Mo., was found critically injured in the single-vehicle accident south of Baldwin Junction, about 10 p.m., according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. Passersby had reported the motorcycle was left in the median and sheriff’s deputies found the injured rider after searching the area.

Lusk was transported by LifeStar helicopter ambulance to Overland Park Regional Hospital, but was pronounced dead this morning. He had operated El Dorado Cycle, a motorcycle business in his hometown, for many years, according to the El Dorado Sun newspaper.

The sheriff’s office and the Kansas Highway Patrol continue to investigate the accident, and ask anyone who may have seen anything related to the accident to call Det. Scott Bonham, of the sheriff’s office, at 785-832-5201.
