Weather pushes back finale of Big 12 men’s golf championship

? Inclement weather forced the cancellation of play on Tuesday at the Big 12 men’s golf championship at Prairie Dunes.

Lightning delays interrupted the first round on Monday before high winds and darkness cut the second short. The second round is set to resume at noon today with the final round following.

Kansas University senior Chris Gilbert shot a first-round-best 69 to lead the field after 18 holes and sat in third place when play was suspended on Monday.

KU was in third after the first round but dropped to a tie for eighth with Iowa State at 34-over with a hole to play.

Texas completed two rounds and led with a 571 (11 over), and UT’s Brandon Stone leads individuals with a 3-under 137.
