Golf River, Calif. ? Kansas University rowers competed against four teams ranked in the top 20 on Saturday at the Lake Natoma Invite.

In the morning session, KU placed third behind top-ranked Southern California and No. 12 Notre Dame in the Varsity Four, Second Varsity Eight and Varsity Eight races.

In the evening session, KU placed third behind No. 9 Stanford and No. 17 Washington State in the Varsity Four, Second Varsity Eight and Varsity Eight.

KU closes the Natoma Invite today against Sacramento State and Tulsa.
