A 53-year-old Lawrence man was arrested in connection with a stabbing Thursday night at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of W. 24th Street, according to Sgt. Trent McKinley, a Lawrence Police Department spokesman.

Police arrested Gregory Joel Thompson after responding to a reported disturbance at the apartment complex, where Thompson allegedly stabbed a man in the abdomen during an argument about 6:30 p.m., McKinley said. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the hospital, and Thompson was booked into Douglas County Jail on suspicion of aggravated battery. He remained in jail Friday with bond not yet set.
