Kannapolis, N.C. ? Kansas University senior Alex Gutesha shot his second consecutive round under par and placed ninth — his second top-10 finish in three tournaments — with an even-par 213 at the Irish Creek Collegiate golf invitational on Sunday.

Guetsha shot 74-69-70 on the par-71 Club at Irish Creek.

As a team, KU placed seventh with an 877.

Other KU results: Chris Gilbert, tied for 15th, 72-71-72–215; Ryley Haas, 31st, 73-76-71–220; Stan Gautier, tied for 47th, 78-71-75–224; and Bryce Brown, 89th, 85-76-81–242.

North Carolina won the team title with an 859.

KU will travel to the Hawkeye Invitational on Saturday and Sunday in Iowa City, Iowa.
