Area Scouts to collect food April 13

The 26th annual Scouting-for-Food food drive is set for this month.

Cub, Boy and Girl Scouts will be gathering food on April 13 in Lawrence, Eudora and Baldwin City. Those who would like to contribute should leave donations on their porch by 9 a.m. that day. Scouts will pass out fliers detailing the food drive to homes in the coming week. They will collect from homes where fliers were left.

If a resident did not receive a flier and would like to donate, they can take items to the Salvation Army, 946 New Hampshire St., or to Anderson Rentals, 1312 W. Sixth St. In Eudora, donations can be made to Eudora Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry at St. Paul Church of Christ, 738 Church St.

In addition to Scouts, Eudora 4-H Club members, Methodist Church youth, Eudora High School Student volunteers and T64 Alumni will assist with the food drive there.
