Kansas soccer enters Top 25 poll

Kansas University’s soccer team re-entered a top-25 national poll for the first time since 2009 after a victory over then-seventh-ranked Oklahoma State last week.

The Soccer America top 25 ranked the Jayhawks at No. 23, while the Continental Tire/National Soccer Coaches Association of America and Soccer Times polls also tallied votes to KU.

Kansas defeated Oklahoma State, 2-1, in a match at the Jayhawk Soccer Complex on Friday. It was the first time KU had beaten a top-10 opponent since 2008.

The Jayhawks (7-2-1 overall, 1-0 Big 12) will play their first road matches of the season this weekend. KU will face Baylor at 7 p.m. Friday in Waco, Texas, before traveling to meet TCU at 1 p.m. Sunday in Fort Worth.
