Overland Park Lawrence High’s volleyball team won three of five matches Saturday at the Shawnee Mission South tournament.
The Lions started out with a 25-19, 25-20 victory over Olathe South before falling in three sets to Manhattan, 22-25, 26-24, 20-25. LHS went on to defeat Wichita Southeast, 25-11, 25-6, and lost to Mill Valley, 23-25, 20-25. Lawrence closed out the day with a 25-21, 25-7 victory over the hosts.
Caitlin Broadwell led the way for the Lions, registering 41 kills and 22 digs. Monica Howard racked up 35 kills and 14 digs. Bre May led LHS with 75 assists.
LHS (5-4) will host Olathe South and Leavenworth on Thursday.
