— Lawrence High senior Robert Lyan scored two goals, and the Lions’ boys soccer team overcame a two-goal halftime deficit for a 2-2 draw with Blue Valley West on Tuesday night.

Johannes Reiber added one assist for LHS.

The Lions scored their first goal with approximately 20 minutes left, then tied it with about 15 minutes remaining.

“We made some mistakes, but we didn’t let that get us down,” LHS coach Mike Murphy said.

The Lions (1-1-1) will play Tuesday at Olathe North.
