Wamego ? Brandon McCaffrey placed 11th in the boys race, and Maddie McCaffrey took 28th in the girls race to lead Bishop Seabury Academy on Saturday in the Class 2A cross country meet.

Brandon McCaffrey ran a school-record time of 17:18 in the 5K boys race.

Maddie McCaffrey’s time of 16:58 led the Seahawks in the 4K girls race. She was followed by Heidi Dumesich in 45th (17:45), Addie Graham in 70th (18:46), Alison Chi in 83rd (19:32) and Eilish Gibson in 85th (19:49).

Seabury runner Kate Albrecht suffered from shin splints and was unable to finish the race
