Douglas County Clerk’s office provides informational brochure on voting

The Douglas County Clerk’s office has mailed an informational brochure to each household in the county with registered voters.

“This effort is not only to encourage voting and provide information but to also provide one more point of access to voting in Douglas County,” Douglas County Clerk Jamie Shew said.

The brochure includes information on advance voting, voting in-person and the new photo ID law. It also references the www.douglascountyelections.com website which has more information for voters. The mailer also includes two blank applications for mail advance balloting.

Advance voting continues through Nov. 5 and Election Day is Nov. 6.

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach reminded voters that they can go to https://myvoteinfo.voteks.org/

to check on their registration status, what precinct they will vote in and look at a sample ballot.
