Shawnee ? Lawrence High freshman Claire Sanner and senior Gavin Fischer ran to top times in their grade divisions at the Shawnee Mission West cross country meet on Saturday at Shawnee Mission Park.

Sanner finished in 15:58 in the freshman girls’ 4K, while Fischer outdistanced the pack in the senior boys’ 5K with a 16:25. No team scores were kept at the meet.

Freshman Nathan Pederson (second, 18:19), junior Laura Neilsen (second, 17:14), senior Grace Morgan (second, 15:29) and senior John Mwithiga (third, 17:13) were among other top Lions finishers.

LHS will compete at Sunflower League on Saturday at Rim Rock Farm.
